Upcoming album release

Upcoming album release with Steven Lloyd-Gonzalez conducting the Britten Sinfonia and soprano Julia Kogan. The album features recordings of Benjamin Britten’s ‘Les Illumiantions’, both in the original French version and for the first time in a new English translation by Timothy Adès, along with Samuel Barber’s ‘Knoxville’. The album will be released on the First Hand Records label later this year.


Lufthansa Orchestra performs with British singer-songwriter James Arthur

In January 2024, Steven and the orchestra performed with the British singer-songwriter James Arthur and the Lufthansa Orchestra at the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg.

The one-off fundraising concert was organised by Fabian Narkus of the Channel Aid Charity under the auspices of the FABS Foundation.

Lloyd-Gonzalez also wrote all of the orchestrations for the concert, totalling fourteen of James Arthur’s songs; two of which ( Bitter Sweet Love & Blindside ) Arthur included in the digital deluxe version of his Bitter Sweet Love Album, which subsequently went on to reach No.1 in the U.K. album charts.

In December 2024, Steven completed 22 orchestrations for the German singer, Ayliva, also for the FABS Foundation and the Lufthansa Orchestra.

Chief Conductor of the Lufthansa Orchestra

Steven was appointed Chief Conductor of the Lufthansa Orchestra in 2022, succeeding the late Colin Touchin.
